Light Up Shoes

I made light up shoes for my 90s kid Halloween costume! Really, I made light up shoes and then chose a costume that would work with them. In total they probably took me about 8 hours to make, most of which was soldering wires in between the LED strip lights to make them flexible in the areas where the shoes bend. If you want to make ones similar to mine, go to this link for a guide: https://learn.adafruit.com/gemma-led-sneakers/overview. I followed some of their instructions, but made some of my own modifications. I also used a different microcontroller, so I had to write my own program. Any pair of shoes with vulcanized soles should work, but I recommend high-tops because they give you the most area to mount the elecronics. I wanted a space age look on the cheap so I bought a pair of Adidas Tubular Invader Straps of of ebay: https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Originals-Tubular-Invader-Strap/dp/B01IFQBXL0?th=1&psc=1

Happy making!
